It seems that some people have been complaining on how they don't see as much new posts as before.
On the other side, a small number of artists seem compelled to apologize for not delivering as much content as before, especially the newbies. (Myself included - just take a quick look at my previous journal entries!)
I'm betting that it'll start getting real busy for the deviants, when the cooler season comes. After all, isn't it human nature to want to huddle up by the fireplace (or the nearest heater), impervious to the the unforgiving elements pounding away outside the door of your inner sanctuary?
Since we'd be trapped inside and all bundled up, we'd need to kill boredom. One good way of conquering the ho-hums, is to create things for others to see - out of our imaginations brewing at its peak. A bored mind imagines far more than a busy one.
In turn - seeking sanity from the long, cold days of winter - many deviants and non-deviants would be milling through the halls and rooms of dA, looking for something to appease their need to be visually stimulated.
Who says that looking at a simply-colored Garfield comic strip in the Sunday papers doesn't lift your mood up, even if it's just a notch or more?
I know, I know... some of you out there would shout out: "Coarse art." "Lowbrow drawings." What do I say to that? "My ass." LOL.
I know that's juvenile of me, but that just proves my point - LIGHTEN UP! We need to nurture ourselves mentally, when it comes to being confined physically. And that's when DeviantART and many other visual-art websites come in.
That's just my two cents on the whole thing. Any feedback from you old-timers of dA? I'd love to hear it! Like I said, I'm just a newbie - you guys are more knowledgeable of how this site and its members tick.
