I've been working for two weeks on a bedframe for my beautiful wife, to accommodate her new full-size mattress. This project contains a lot of first-time milestones for me, regarding constructing something extremely sturdy... while integrating my artistry into the final phase of the project.

Right now, I'm focusing on the basic structural construction of the bedframe; the cosmetic features will be added down the road. I've posted several photos of the progress of the project HERE in imgur:

THE BEDFRAME PROJECT: An amateur's pictorial guide to the progress of building one.

I'll post a deviation of the final product when it's done. In the meantime, please enjoy viewing the process! :)

I've had this urge lately, to create a new package of cursor sets; based on an alternation of OrbisPAKS. Of course, I'm following suit and creating the cursors. And YES - it's based on the aforementioned "Simplex" project.

Simplex was a codename. Surprise, surprise... the official name of this pack of cursor sets is... LapiPAKS! Wow, what a big FUCKING deal it is! Whoo-HOO!!

(YAWNS)

You could call it a spin-off, or a creature that stands in its own category. The theme is, what - you wonder.... so to sate your curiosity, it's gonna be based on various stones and gems. Hence, the name "LapiPAKS." For the unschooled: "lapis" is a generic Latin term for "Gem." The rest is self-explanatory as to the "PAKS" part... duh.

Of course, like OrbisPAKS, it's user-friendly for BOTH left and right-handed folks that use Windows XP to Windows 8. Nothing ever points in the wrong direction. EVER.

Initially, I expect to release them in a non-installer format; for these who have experience in installing their own cursors. The installer version will follow - ONLY if there is a demand for that. Otherwise, I'm not wasting my breath on something that people don't seem to appreciate my work enough, in the first place. (Sorry - this is not for Apple nor Linux/UNIX users. I just don't play that...)

I'm also sick and tired of dealing with the anti-virus people - it seems that the more money you got packed, the easier it is to make your software legit. OrbisPAKS was a joy to create, yet it generated anguish and headaches along the road. People pirated my work; anti-virus suites such as Norton and McAfee falsely alert users to the "fact" that my OrbisPAKS software was indeed a malware or virus.

I AM JUST A FUCKING HONEST GUY trying to make a mark in the world; by sharing my creations -whatsoever forms they take - with everybody in the world. Well, making a bit of coinage with my talents wouldn't hurt, either...

I'm a good guy, so give my software a chance. I won't let you down, nor would my software make your computer go ga-ga. I hope... :/

AS FOR the LapiPAKS project; like I always say - Stay tuned. ;)

Handcrafting

I admit that I don't update my dA profile often - from submissions to journal entries. What's the point, anyway? I only do it whenever I feel like it; since no one really reads what I've written. As of now, this is simply a note of self-reflection.

Let's cut to the chase here: I haven't been doing much in the usual digital medium, that I've regularly posted in here. I've been discovering the joys of experiencing the world, outside of the PC. Photography, woodworking, engineering, clay molding, metalcrafting, jewelry, home renovations - just to name a few.

I'll be posting my hand-crafted works in the near future; most likely in the spring or summer - the estimated time that most of my longtime projects are complete.

I can hardly wait to see how they turn out! I'm as much in the dark as you are as to how they'll look in the end... which makes it all the more fun! I tend to engineer as I go along.... ;)

OrbisPAKS Raw?

1 min read
Ha... I guess that it'd be better to bundle up all of OrbisPAKS' 7-color sets into one Raw Series Pack? Hmm...

Yeah, I think I'll go down that road. Sit tight, kiddies - and always lovin' y'all of these who appreciate and use my submissions!
