I've had this urge lately, to create a new package of cursor sets; based on an alternation of
OrbisPAKS. Of course, I'm following suit and creating the cursors. And YES - it's based on the aforementioned "Simplex" project.
Simplex was a codename. Surprise, surprise... the official name of this pack of cursor sets is... LapiPAKS! Wow, what a big FUCKING deal it is! Whoo-HOO!!
(YAWNS)
You could call it a spin-off, or a creature that stands in its own category. The theme is, what - you wonder.... so to sate your curiosity, it's gonna be based on various stones and gems. Hence, the name "LapiPAKS." For the unschooled: "lapis" is a generic Latin term for "Gem." The rest is self-explanatory as to the "PAKS" part... duh.
Of course, like
OrbisPAKS, it's user-friendly for BOTH left and right-handed folks that use Windows XP to Windows 8. Nothing ever points in the wrong direction. EVER.
Initially, I expect to release them in a non-installer format; for these who have experience in installing their own cursors. The installer version will follow - ONLY if there is a demand for that. Otherwise, I'm not wasting my breath on something that people don't seem to appreciate my work enough, in the first place. (Sorry - this is not for Apple nor Linux/UNIX users. I just don't play that...)
I'm also sick and tired of dealing with the anti-virus people - it seems that the more money you got packed, the easier it is to make your software legit.
OrbisPAKS was a joy to create, yet it generated anguish and headaches along the road. People pirated my work; anti-virus suites such as Norton and McAfee falsely alert users to the "fact" that my
OrbisPAKS software was indeed a malware or virus.
I AM JUST A FUCKING HONEST GUY trying to make a mark in the world; by sharing my creations -whatsoever forms they take - with everybody in the world. Well, making a bit of coinage with my talents wouldn't hurt, either...
I'm a good guy, so give my software a chance. I won't let you down, nor would my software make your computer go ga-ga. I hope... :/
AS FOR the LapiPAKS project; like I always say - Stay tuned.
